9 Leadership Lessons

One of my habits is to play games on my phone. Is it supportive? Is it contradictory? I can argue it can be both, depending on the moment and my energy level.

When I am tired and my energy is low, my game playing is most likely contradictory because I will be mindlessly playing and using up the few energy resources I have left.

On the plus side, I found ways of making it supportive of my goals when I can glean leadership lessons. I probably find them because my working genius “wonder” is allowed to explore, and well, wonder!

Here are nine leadership lessons I found from playing Royal Match, Royal Kingdom, and Pull the Pin (downloaded for free on my phone):

1) Sometimes you have to let things settle down completely before you change anything else. If you don’t, you might miss some amazing opportunities.

2) It is important to understand the strengths of all of your team members, and to use those strengths for the benefit of the entire team.

3) Some team members have the ability to maximize the strengths of others exponentially. These should always be leveraged, and never overlooked.

4) It’s important to look ahead to see what obstacles lay ahead before you proceed. Otherwise, it could derail the entire project.

5) A good leader will find ways to remove those obstacles before proceeding. Anyone else will think they can do it along the way.

6) Those team members who help others should be rewarded. This behavior should be encouraged.

7) Celebrate each win. No matter how small.

8) Failure is to be expected. Just try again.

9) Not every problem is worth solving. Don’t be distracted.
